    My Vertical Lebret

Well my first actual post on here

I had never knew this piercing even existed until I saw it on my boyfriends room mate in college. I really really liked it but since I hadn't seen it on a girl before I didn't think it would have looked all that great. That was until I went to get my tongue pierced and saw it on one of the piercers there. It looked gorgeous on her and I fell in love with it instantly.

I had wanted to get my lip pierced but reading about how your gums could reseed and such I told myself no. This piercing however doesn't even go inside your mouth so there isn't any worry about it rubbing your gums. Anyways; I did a whole bunch of research on it and looked at many many pictures and decided that I most definitely was getting it done.

I decided I was going to get it done the same place I had gotten my tongue done. I love the people there they are extremely nice and friendly; they make you feel right at home. The place is Electric Skin Design in Augusta. Don't let where it is located fool you it seriously is a wonderful place. I had Angel again (the same girl that did my tongue), she is freakin awesome! She talked me threw everything that she was going to be doing and such and then told me to sit on the stool, she marked my lip and told me to look in the mirror to see if I liked the spot. I sat back down and she held up the jewlery and measured it with this jewlery meeasurer to make sure the size was right, then she put it near the marks to make sure it was going to fit right. She then used a Qtip to clean off my lip with listerine and began putting the clamp on. She knows I'm needle phoebic, not really too bad but I still don't really like em haha. So she told me she was ready and for me to close my eyes, she said she was going to count to 3 and that she wanted me to take a deep breath on 3. I heard the word 3 and took a deep breath and kind of scrunched my eyes up real tight as I felt the needle go threw. I'm not going to lie to you, it hurt. I would say it hurt more then the rest of my piercings getting done (not that I have alot). It wasn't unbearable but there was pain lol. You have alot of nerve endings in your lips and to have something go right threw it, well it's obviously gunna kinda hurt. My eyes watered abit. She corked the top of the needle, put the barbell threw, and screwed the balls on. I was all set to go. She told me aftercare instructions and also gave my a pamphlet of the instructions. She also said to give it a good 4-6 weeks before I change the barbell to a smaller one. I absolutly adore this piercing and am glad I got it. I thanked them and was on my way home .

If you decide to get yours done I would suggest eating bite sized things. Sandwhiches are not such a good idea after you've just got it done hahaha.

About Me

  • Hi thar! My name is Katelyn but people call me Ferrett, Kerosene, or Siarah (those are my internet handles haha). I'm 18 and was born and raised in Augusta. I am very much a tomboy and I love big trucks, mud, and video games. I am happy go lucky always hyper. I'm rebellious and I like to talk on the computer, yes I'm a computer nerd. I am sarcastic and very random. I'm kind of a bubbly silly person, and I love to make people laugh. Oh and I'm kind of a pervert too lol. I've always been fascinated with big trucks and the construction industry. When I was a little girl (well littler then I am now I guess haha) I used to want to be a construction worker. . . I shyed away from it as I grew older and was going to be a vet. Well you can't stop true love! I plan on becoming a heavy equipment operator. But am looking for a job as a laborer or in a landscaping buisness. Something to start me off in that direction.
